Fishing in Vestersø - Rise Skov

Between Aabenraa and Rødekro, you will find Rise Skov forest. Parking is available at the forest entrance, and after a short walk you will reach Vestersø lake.

A valid fishing licence is required to fish in the lake, except for those under 18 or eligible for a state pension. It is possible to catch carp, tench, pike, and roach.

There is a fire pit at the site, but you must bring your own firewood.

There are no toilet or cleaning facilities.

The forest also features a “heart trail” and old railway tracks, which are now used by rail bikes from Aabenraa.
